Unlike many other employers, Nevada State Bank offers medical benefits that take effect on the first day of employment.

Health and Wellness Benefits

  • Medical Insurance: Employees may choose from four medical insurance plan options provided by Aetna. All plans include prescription coverage and preventive services.
  • Vision Insurance and Dental Insurance: Employees are offered a dental and vision plan through MetLife.
  • Life Insurance: You are automatically covered at no charge for 100% of annual salary, rounded up to the nearest $1,000 and you may purchase supplemental life insurance for spouses and children.
  • Long Term Disability Insurance: Qualified employees are eligible for this valuable coverage at no charge.
  • Health Savings Account: High Deductible Health Plan participants may contribute to a health savings account that uses pre-tax contributions to pay medical expenses with annual balance rollover and no "use-it-or-lose-it" provision.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts: We offer two pre-tax savings plans that help pay for certain health care and dependent care expenses.
  • Mental Health: We offer mental health benefits including coaching and therapy to all employees.
  • Holidays: We offer 11 paid federal holidays and a minimum of 15 days paid time off (PTO).

Financial Benefits

401(k) Program: The Zions Bancorporation 401(k) Plan is available to employees who are 21 years or older, immediately upon hire. All contributions are tax-deferred. Zions will match 100% of the first 3% contributed and 50% of the next 3% contributed.

Profit Sharing: Zions has the option of making a Profit-Sharing contribution to the 401(k) Plan each year, invested in Zions Bancorporation common stock. Contributions are based on a percentage of salary.

Tuition Reimbursement: Employees may receive up to $3,000 for an undergraduate degree and up to $5,250 for a graduate degree per academic year. Application periods are twice a year, employees are able to apply starting day one of employment.

Home Ownership Program (HOPE): Down payment/closing cost assistance of $5,000 is available to qualified employees seeking a home of their own. Eligibility is based on income and completing 90 days of employment.


Employee Banking Benefits: Employees are eligible for a number of banking benefits: fees are waived on checking, savings, safe deposit box and personal checks. Employees also have unlimited use of ATM’s owned by Nevada State Bank or Zions Bancorporation, N.A. Discounts on mortgage loans are also available.
