We are currently accepting applications for two ORM Control Program Supervisors located within the Bank’s Operational Risk Management team.  This position is eligible for a Hybrid Work Schedule or a Remote schedule if hired outside Zions Bancorporation's footprint.  The ideal candidate for this role will have the skills and experience necessary to fulfill the following responsibilities and qualifications:

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for leading and supporting the operational control program across the control management lifecycle (risk identification, control creation, testing of both design and effectiveness, control monitoring, maintenance, retirement, and reporting).
  • Leads a control team to identify and assess key risks and controls (e.g., operational, compliance, financial reporting, IT, etc.) and to enhance Zions Bancorporation’s risk/control environment, carry out the Risk Management framework, and support the Bank’s customer experience, operational excellence, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Leads the analysis of risk and control data to provide insights to management and other risk stakeholders, including executive management, and the Board.
  • Oversees the administration of the control program and updates to controls in RSA Archer, the Bank’s governance, risk and compliance (GRC) tool.
  • Ensures control program governance documents are maintained, including the Enterprise Control Management Program and department procedures.
  • Drives continuous improvements to enhance and streamline process efficiencies and automation for the business and Risk Management. 
  • Enhances the COSO assessment approach, facilitates the assessment and reports on COSO assessment results.
  • Works closely with and supports, the Bank’s Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and perform ad hoc risk and control projects.
  • Responsible to hire, conduct performance reviews and weigh in on terminations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, Technology, Information Security, or a related field and 4+ years of audit, risk management, technology or compliance in financial services or other directly related experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of risk and control assessment and testing techniques, various bank and government regulatory requirements, including OCC, FFIEC, SEC, COSO, COBIT, NIST, GLBA, etc. 
  • Ability to lead/build teams to support robust control environments and drive innovation.
  • Some leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Strong management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven root cause, analytic, and benchmarking skills.
  • Strong process improvement, project management, and automation skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (strong Excel and PPT skills) and database, analysis, and reporting tools, including MS Power BI.
  • Process mapping experience (IBM Blue Works Live a plus).
