This position is part of our Zions Bancorporation Human Resources (HR Delivery Team) and is now accepting resumes for a Human Resources Business Partner. This position is located in Las Vegas and supports our colleagues located in the metro and rural areas of Northern Nevada. Selected candidate needs to have flexibility to travel as needed. Opportunity to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days required in the office per week.

 

Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Have responsibility for handling all HR matters for your assigned area of the company.
  • Facilitate and assist with implementing change management & organizational development activities.
  • Partner with management to ensure timely and high quality delivery of HR services/programs.
  • Provide performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, performance interventions, employee relations, etc.) in order to optimize employee performance.
  • Prepare and analyze data and reports.
  • Understand and interpret FLSA and compensation practices of all levels.
  • Interpret Human Resources Management policies and procedures.
  • Be adaptable and take on additional assignments as needed.

 

Further practical experience and knowledge required:

  • HR practices, principles, applications, methods, and laws.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple Human Resources disciplines.
  • Strong presentation, conflict-resolution, and interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Utilizing creativity, drawing from in-depth experience, and producing high-quality results and services.
  • Excellent customer service, influence, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to exercise effective judgment and manage reactions to changing needs and situations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information daily.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years experience in employee relations, employee retention, human resource process and procedures, unemployment, workers compensation, FMLA, local, state and federal laws and requirements or other directly related experience. (Combination of education and experience may meet requirements.)
  • Experience with organizational development and change management projects preferred.
  • Supervisory or Leadership experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of all human resource disciplines, HR practices, principles, applications, methods and laws.
  • Flexible, team-player able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Solid presentation, conflict resolution, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong customer service, influence and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information daily.
  • Possess strong initiative, follow-up, feedback and timely decision making skills.
  • Strong MS Office and HRIS skills required.

Pay range (depending on experience): $60K to $85K Annual Salary
