Diversity & Inclusion Mission Statement


At Nevada State Bank, diversity is the creation of a multicultural organization that is open, supportive, and responsive. Colleagues can contribute to the Bank's business objectives in an environment where differences are valued and encouraged. Diversity supports an approach where different ideas and means of problem-solving are encouraged to help make the Bank more efficient and effective.

Purpose: The Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Board has been established to foster an environment where colleagues can appreciate the unique talents each colleague brings to the workplace. The Bank's vision for the Advisory Board is to make sure colleagues feel comfortable and at ease, regardless of their unique backgrounds and situations. The Advisory Board will help to create and deliver internal educational and social activities, for bank colleagues only, that help to foster understanding of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

  • Amigos of Nevada State Bank
  • Asian Americans of Nevada State Bank
  • Black Leadership and Cultural Knowledge (B.L.A.C.K.)
  • Emerging Leaders
  • Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (L.G.B.T.Q.)
  • Women’s Leadership Group
Goals:
  • Provide a forum for support and mentoring of all colleagues.
  • Establish networking and professional development events hosted by the Diversity Forums.
  • Partner with Human Resources to attract and retain a diverse workforce.
  • Sponsor bank-wide training events during the year, as needed and directed by the Executive Management Committee.
